We would like to inform passengers and visitors of Sofia Airport that аs of 1 May 2022, parking prices will change at Sofia Airport’s two public car parks in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Details can be found here.

Level B1 of the public car parking at Terminal 2 is temporarily closed. The remaining parking levels are at your disposal. While we apologize for any inconvenience caused, we kindly ask you to observe the parking organization in place.

As of 1 May 2022 all COVID-19 related travel restrictions are lifted.

Information about travelling to different countries is published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

All scheduled flights arriving in the time range 8 pm–8 am will be served only at Terminal 2. This will facilitate faster processing of documents and the passing of passengers. There will be no change for flights landing on schedule before 8:00 at Terminal 1. They will not move to Terminal 2 to avoid the inconvenience of travelers and their meters and greeters. All business flights will be operated at Terminal 1.

 

Covid laboratories

For the convenience of travelers, COVID-19 testing laboratories have been set up in the public areas of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to issue the necessary travel health certificates.

The PCR test result is ready within 2 hours and the antigen test within 20 minutes. The services are available not only to arriving and departing passengers, but also to all citizens.

“SOF Connect” AD is looking to recruit a “HEALTH AND SAFETY EXPERT” in the team of the “Health and Safety” sector of the “Human Resources, Administration and Social Activities” Directorate.

 

The main role of the “Health and Safety Expert” is to organize and coordinate activities to ensure occupational health and safety labor conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the Executive Director in the organization and coordination of overall occupational safety and health activities;
  • Advises and assists officials in the implementation of occupational safety and health requirements;
  • Supervise on behalf of the Executive Director the compliance with the norms and requirements of the legislation and the fulfilment of the obligations of the employees;
  • Participates in internal auditing processes and overall maintenance of ISO 45001 documentation;
  • In case of violations, prescribe measures to the relevant officials to remedy the violations, inform the Executive Director and propose appropriate measures, including the imposition of sanctions;
  • Organize and participate in the development of company regulations on occupational safety and health;
  • Develops projects, plans, programs, instructions, orders, etc. on matters related to occupational safety and health;
  • Organize and participate in the preparation of assessments and opinions on the compliance with occupational safety and health requirements of projects and in the commissioning of sites, industries, technologies, work equipment and workplaces;
  • Conducts trainings of the company’s employees and those of other companies operating on the company’s territory.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a technical major;
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in a similar position;
  • In-depth knowledge of labor legislation and occupational health and safety legislation (Labour Code; Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations; Health Act; Technical Requirements for Products Act; Regulations for Hazardous Installations and other regulations related to occupational health and safety);
  • Excellent computer literacy /Word, Excel, Outlook, etc./
  • Fluency in English is an advantage;
  • Certificates from Occupation Health and Safety qualification training is also an advantage;
  • Analytical and quick problem solving skills, responsibility, organization, initiative;
  • Teamwork skills and effective interaction with all company employees regardless of position.
