The Bulgarian Civil Aviation Club is located at Sofia Airport near Terminal 1. In the three separate areas of the museum you can see a fascinating collection of objects related to aviation.
A photo wall with unique photographic material presents important moments in the history of Bulgarian aviation. The exposition part includes models of airplanes, a model of Terminal 2, a simulator panel for an AN-24 aircraft. Among the exhibits is also the radio station with which the first flight of civil aviation was conducted in 1947 and many others.
A special library offers albums with photos of important moments for Balkan Airlines and books and magazines on aviation topics.
The Aviation Club is a social spot, a hub of civil aviation. It also has a conference hall suitable for meetings, assemblies, press conferences.
The conference room has about 60 seats and multimedia equipment, and can be used for various events upon prior request at [email protected]
Organized visits to the Club are available by requesting a time and date in advance by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
Museum open hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on working days, with unlimited hours for pre-booked events.
